The battle is over!
Denise died this morning at 10:15.
We couldn't have asked for better timing or manner. We were all home due to the U.E.A. break and we were having breakfast. I had checked on Denise at !0:10 and then checked again at 10:20.
She had been unable to communicate for a few weeks but was able to point what she wanted, etc. For the past two days, she has been asleep. The signs the nurses told us to watch for happened like it was written up in a textbook. This made for a quiet, non-emergency few weeks.
We thank all those who have sent thoughts, prayers, more thoughts and prayers... and who have supported us over these three years. You are all truly wonderful!
I anticipate viewing and funeral services will happen Tues/Wed/Thurs next week. We will keep you posted (hopefully).

"All things must die, passing through nature into eternity." Shakespeare (Hamlet, Act I)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry and sad. You have my deepest sympathies, but find comfort knowing your wonderful wife and mother awaits you in eternity.

Tyler, I am so sorry to hear that Denise passed away. Christine Christensen told me and gave me this blog address. I hope that’s okay. I have known for a couple of months that she was battling cancer and I just want you to know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I know God loves us and although this is such a difficult journey for you and your family, that He lives, He loves us and He will bless us. I pray that you will find peace!

May the Lord be with you. I have thought of you and the family often. Judy and I want you to know what a wonderful example and blessing both you and Denise have been in our lives. God Bless and our Prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteTyler and girls,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. I find peace in the realization of the Plan of Salvation, a testimony I gained from you Tyler as a young man when you were my YM Leader. Your lessons you teach me now are just as powerful! I sure love and appreciate you and your girls. You are truly one of my Hero's, You are in my thoughts and prayers, as well as on the Temple Prayer roll.
